I am grateful to Dr. Nick Lopez a medical practitioner based in Pennsylvania and the Lao brothers, Oscar(Bebot) Jr, and Jeffrey, for prodding me to write a book about the history of the Torrefranca family in Inabanga, Bohol, to Mr and Mrs Luis (Lolo) Torrefranca (nee Elisa (Lily) Abellaneda through Cesar Torrefranca, for furnishing me a flyer of a program in one of the reunions of the Torretranca clan in Carmen, Bohol where within recall name of the original forebear and some names of his descendants appear thereat and the folder-bound of their research work about the clan in Carmen; to Baudilio Torrefranca, the founder and the first appointed mayor of Sagbayan, Bohol, and great-grandson of the original father, for providing me important facts and informations
about the original ancestors of the Torrefrancas in Inabanga which inspired and ultimately led me to write this book, to Dr. Rosendo Lopez, Jr., for his unconditional and personal encouragement to steer me to finish the book; to Joseth Luga Jimenez who spent numberless days and sleepless nights, for the research of the biggest family of the clan whose family lineal has extended and attained to the seventh generation, where her ancestral line has a direct linkage; to Herminia Torrefranca Enriquez, Lazara Torrefranca and Esperanza Torrefranca Alesna, for submitting to me the research report of their
immediate family, to Andronica Torrefranca Azurin, for her report of her father's heirs, Baudilio Torrefranca; to Candida Estillore Anana, for working out the history of her grandmother's family; to Hermogenes (Dodong) Torrefranca who submitted his research report of his family lineage and helped me point out those whose family linkage to the clan not well identified; to Casimera Aparicio Lao who submitted a long list of family lineage of Isabel Torrefranca Aparicio, her grandmother, to Aleja Ebale Torrefranca, wife of Crescenciano Torrefranca who submitted her research report on the family of Sabino Torrefranca, to Cecilia Suarez Lamorin and Rosario Apad Quiao and Teotista Cenabre Cenita who spent time in gathering information about the history of their grandmother, to Bienvenida Cempron Culpa for reporting the family lineage of her grandmother, to Edith Marchan Gudez who made a research working for the tamily of her mother, Luisa Torrefranca, Alejandro, Hilaria, Eugenio all surnamed Torrefranca and others who belong to the family lineal; to Concordia Uy Anana and Mamerta Uy Regner who worked out on the family history of their mother, to Gonzalo Torres who submitted the family history of his mother; to Oscar(Bob) Galang and Ramon Galang, Jr. who submitted additional report about their family and to my grandchildren, Gerald, Rommel, Anthony and Mark who
helped me set and typed on the computer the preparation of the manuscript of this book that made this task possible.
